Line Cook / Kitchen Support Christophe Rull Patisserie San Marcos, California Position Summary Christophe Rull Patisserie is seeking a reliable, organized, and hardworking Line Cook / Kitchen Support team member to assist with breakfast service and daily kitchen operations. The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare eggs and other breakfast items consistently, efficiently, and according to the patisserie's quality standards. This role will also support the pastry and kitchen teams with general production, cleaning, organization, receiving, and preparation duties as needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in cleanliness and quality, and is willing to assist wherever needed to help the team operate smoothly. Key ResponsibilitiesBreakfast and Line Cook Duties
  • Prepare eggs and other breakfast menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Cook and assemble breakfast orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain proper portion control, food quality, and consistency.
  • Set up and stock the breakfast station before service.
  • Monitor ingredients and communicate restocking needs to management.
  • Keep the cooking station clean, organized, and sanitary throughout the shift.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures. Kitchen and Pastry Support
  • Assist the pastry and baking teams with basic production tasks as directed.
  • Help prepare ingredients, trays, molds, pans, and equipment for the following day's production.
  • Assist with pastry production, assembly, garnishing, packaging, and organization when needed.
  • Label, date, rotate, and properly store ingredients and finished products.
  • Help maintain refrigerators, freezers, dry-storage areas, and production stations in an orderly condition. Cleaning and General Kitchen Duties
  • Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, sheet pans, and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain clean and sanitized work surfaces, sinks, floors, and storage areas.
  • Remove garbage, recycling, and food waste as needed.
  • Replace liners and clean waste containers.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen areas.
  • Complete opening and closing cleaning duties.
  • Help ensure the kitchen is properly organized and prepared for the next business day. Receiving and Inventory Support
  • Receive and put away vendor deliveries promptly.
  • Verify that products are stored in the correct location.
  • Follow proper first-in, first-out rotation procedures.
  • Notify management of damaged, missing, or incorrect deliveries.
  • Assist with inventory organization and counts when requested. Qualifications
  • Previous line cook, breakfast cook, prep cook, bakery, café, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of egg preparation and breakfast cooking techniques.
  • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and production schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist with a wide range of kitchen duties.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully with coworkers and management.
  • Food Handler Card required or must be obtained within the required timeframe. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, and move kitchen supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to lift approximately 40-50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work around ovens, hot surfaces, refrigeration equipment, and wet floors. Schedule
  • Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability may be required.
  • Schedule may vary based on business and production needs.

$17.00 - $23.00 per hour
