Description of Position:

Do you have experience as a Line Cook in a commercial kitchen? Our client, an upscale retirement community in San Rafael, is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join their kitchen team.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook proteins, vegetables, soups, sauces, stocks, and other menu items Cook food to proper temperature, flavor, and presentation standards Work efficiently in a high-production, dynamic kitchen Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Use knives and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Follow recipes, menus, and food safety standards Organize and properly store food using FIFO practices Clean and break down your station at the end of each shift Communicate supply or kitchen issues to the

Chef or Dining Services Manager Description of Company:

You will be supporting a well-established upscale retirement community in San Rafael, California.

Experience Required:

1-2+ years of commercial kitchen and prior line cook experience Experience in a high-volume kitchen; fast food experience alone does not qualify Strong knife skills are a must Knowledge of basic cooking techniques Ability to follow recipes and instructions Food Handler's Certification required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Available for occasional weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed
