Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices. Collaborate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality food presentation. Utilize various cooking techniques and equipment, including knives, ovens, and grills. Qualifications Proven experience as a cook in a culinary setting, preferably in a dietary or food service environment. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation. Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse meals that cater to specific dietary needs. Experience as a dietary aide or in catering is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
