They set up, maintain, and clean their designated station (grill, sauté, etc.), assist with inventory, and work efficiently to meet customer demand.
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking:
Prepares ingredients (chopping, mixing) and cooks dishes (grilling, frying, sautéing) to specifications.
Station Management:
Sets up, stocks, and cleans the workstation, including tools and surfaces.
Quality Control:
Ensures food presentation, quality, and portion sizes meet company standards.
Safety & Sanitation:
Follows food hygiene regulations, maintains proper temperatures, and cleans workstations.
Team Collaboration:
Communicates effectively with servers and other staff to ensure timely, accurate orders.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of food safety (e.g., ServSafe) and cooking techniques.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot environment.
Efficiency:
Ability to work quickly and remain calm under pressure
