Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Assist in food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices to ensure food safety compliance. Support meal preparation for various service types including dine-in, catering, and special events. Follow safety standards during food production to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient food service and uphold high standards of quality and presentation. Aid in dishwashing Experience Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments is highly valued. Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus. Knowledge of menu planning, food industry best practices, and catering experience is beneficial. Demonstrated ability in food handling, safety standards in production, and food safety management is essential. Strong knife skills and slicing techniques are important for efficient meal prep. Experience with food preparation for large groups or meal service settings will be advantageous.
