Job Overview:

Ready to join a fast paced motivated team? We are seeking a dedicated Prep Cook with line work time to join our culinary team. The Prep Cook will assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Taste Local is a scratch kitchen that utilizes local products and hand made food. We are a breakfast lunch restaurant that is open Wednesday-Sunday 8a-2p. Hours are 10-15 hours a week with weekends required and occassional week day if available. Looking to hire immediately. All interviews will need to be confirmed via Indeed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping produce
• Assist in cooking and preparing various menu items under the guidance of the Chef
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow food safety procedures and guidelines
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and accurate food preparation

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food preparation or a related role preferred
• Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction from the Chef and kitchen staff
• A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to help create memorable dining experiences
