Cook port Healthcare United States, Connecticut, Seymour Aug 29, 2026 What You'll Do As a Culinary Services Team Member at port Healthcare, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our clients, families, and guests. Your responsibilities will encompass the preparation and presentation of meals and snacks that align with our standards of culinary excellence, all while fostering a warm and inviting dining atmosphere.
Essential Duties:
Kitchen Operations:
Open and close the kitchen as required, ensuring all operations run smoothly. Maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen environment.
Meal Preparation:
Prepare and present breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks daily, ensuring high-quality standards. Create and present food for parent weekends and other special events as directed by the Chef de Cuisine.
Menu Execution:
Execute menus generated by the Chef de Cuisine, adhering to all recipes and presentation guidelines. Adjust meal preparations based on communicated dietary restrictions and preferences of clients.
Nutritional Standards:
Provide healthful, nutritious, and organic meals and snacks, as directed, to support the well-being of our clients.
Kitchen Cleanliness:
Ensure overall kitchen cleanliness, including regular cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, ovens, floors, and dishes after each meal and food preparation. Adhere to state health and hygiene requirements, as well as port Healthcare standards.
Guest Engagement:
Engage positively with parents and other guests, building appropriate rapport with clients to enhance their dining experience and foster positive associations with mealtimes.
Team Participation:
Participate in baking or cooking groups as directed, contributing to team collaboration and skill development. What Makes You a Great Fit High School Diploma or equivalent required. One - three years of applicable experience required. State Food Safety Certification preferred.
