Plantsville, CT Job Details Seasonal $17.50 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Operating kitchen equipment Full Job Description Position Summary The Mountain Room Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced environment, serving both daily mountain guests and private events including weddings, birthday parties, showers, and other special functions. This role requires consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail while maintaining high standards for food safety. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes Set-up and stock stations with necessary supplies Ensure food is prepared quickly and accurately during peak service times Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen prep areas Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards Assist with inventory rotation (FIFO) and proper food storage Follow all health department and food safety guidelines Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house (FOH) staff for smooth service Complete required training as assigned by mountain leadership Accurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and promptly resolve any discrepancies prior to the end of each pay period Other duties as assigned by mountain leadership Qualifications Must be 18 years or older Ability to work in fast-paced environment Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred but not required Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays Must be eligible to work in the United States Successful completion of background check Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to work in hot kitchen environments Ability to lift and carry food, equipment, and supplies Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Compensation & Benefits Compensation:
$17.50/hour
