Description:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Deli Worker to join our corporate food service team. This is a full-time weekday position (Monday-Friday) requiring a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Chef to prepare high-quality food items, assist in menu development, maintain production standards, and ensure cleanliness and food safety throughout the deli operation. This role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold food items, including: Grilled and roasted meats Fried foods Sandwiches and wraps Deli platters and cold food displays Cold salads, dressings, and condiments following standardized recipes Grilled and roasted vegetables Maintain proper food handling procedures and safe holding temperatures. Assist with menu planning, recipe execution, and batch cooking. Operate food preparation equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor product quality and presentation to company standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. Assist with inventory management and stock rotation. Provide outstanding customer service and interact professionally with customers and team members. Follow all company policies, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards. Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in a corporate food service operation, delicatessen, café, or similar food service environment. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude. Excellent communication and language skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety practices, and proper temperature control. Experience preparing a wide variety of deli and prepared food items. Working knowledge of the following equipment: Food thermometers Deli slicer Panini press Commercial knives and cutlery Flat-top griddle Charbroiler Deep fryer Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail. ServSafe Certification or equivalent food safety certification preferred. Professional references required.
