Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, chopping, and measuring according to recipes and standards Assist in assembling dishes and plating food items with precision and care Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and food processors safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and appliances by adhering to cleaning schedules and standards Support the culinary team in meal preparation for daily service or catering events Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure timely delivery of prepared foods Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Basic knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures Familiarity with menu planning and recipe adherence to ensure consistency in food quality Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; knife skills and slicing techniques are a plus Experience with food preparation in restaurant or food industry settings is advantageous Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and team members Demonstrated ability to follow safety standards during food production and cleaning processes Prior catering or meal prep experience is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
