Margaritaville Resort Fort Myers Beach is seeking applications from seasoned professionals for the exciting role of Prep Cook. Nestled in the heart of Southwest Florida's vibrant landscape, Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach, under the proud operation and ownership of TPI Hospitality, offers not just a job but an opportunity for unparalleled personal and professional growth. What You'll Do:
Ensures all materials and supplies are available for food preparation and service. Sets up prep station according to established guidelines and requirements to ensure guest safety and efficient workflow. Ensure that all foods are prepared according to established recipes and plating guidelines, maintaining product quality and cooking time standards. Maintains a clean appearance and workstation, assisting in overall kitchen cleanliness, including cleaning all station equipment at the end of each shift. Restocks and/or breaks down workstation at the conclusion of the shift, ensuring readiness for the next shift. Assists management in training new staff members within their department, sharing knowledge and expertise to support team development. Maintains a high level of knowledge regarding the company's products and offerings, providing accurate information to guests as needed. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or determined by chefs, management, or supervisors, demonstrating a sense of urgency and initiative. Understands and utilizes all safety and sanitation practices as defined in the safety program, reporting any accidents to management promptly.
What We're Looking For:
High school degree or GED preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills. Six months minimum as a prep cook in a full-service, restaurant Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment. Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, and reaching.
