We're looking for a dependable, motivated team member who can thrive in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in quality, consistency, cleanliness, and teamwork. As a Line Cook, you'll play an important role in preparing and cooking our menu items, keeping the line organized, and making sure every order meets Palms Mediterranean Grill standards. Whether you already have restaurant kitchen experience or are looking to grow your culinary skills, we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and passion for preparing great food. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to Palms Mediterranean Grill recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards Grill and prepare proteins including chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, kabobs, shrimp, falafel, and other menu items Prepare rice, grilled vegetables, toppings, sauces, dips, salads, and other ingredients needed for daily service Assemble bowls, pitas, salads, platters, and sandwiches accurately and efficiently Operate grills, ovens, slicers, food processors, and other kitchen equipment safely and properly Follow all food safety, sanitation, temperature-control, and food-handling procedures Maintain proper portion control and consistency on every order Keep the cooking line, prep areas, utensils, equipment, and workstations clean and organized Restock ingredients and communicate with the team when products or supplies are running low Complete food preparation in a timely manner so the kitchen is fully ready before service Work closely with other kitchen and front-line team members to ensure fast, accurate, and smooth service Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, prep, and inventory responsibilities as needed Qualifications Previous restaurant, line cook, prep cook, or food-service experience preferred Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus Knowledge of basic food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures Strong knife skills and experience with slicing, chopping, portioning, grilling, and food preparation Ability to follow recipes, preparation procedures, and portion standards accurately Comfortable operating common commercial kitchen equipment Ability to stay organized and productive during busy service periods Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependable, punctual, and able to follow direction Strong attention to cleanliness, food quality, and presentation Ability to stand for extended periods and perform normal restaurant kitchen duties At Palms Mediterranean Grill , we believe great food starts with fresh ingredients, consistent preparation, and a strong team.
