Job Description

Job Description H2B Sushi Cook - In Country Transfer Only. Cheeca Lodge & Spa (Islamorada, FL). Temporary, F/T job from 10/01/2026 - 07/31/2027

Duties:

Responsible for cleaning and preparing raw fish; cooking and preparing Japanese food items; making sushi rolls and sashimi plates according to established restaurant recipes and service standards; and ensuring freshness of food, ingredients, and raw materials by checking for quality and proper storage.

Requirements:

Six (6) months of experience in a sushi preparation environment required. On-the-job training is provided. Applicant must provide Pre-employment Criminal Background Check and Pre-employment Drug Test is required. Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $150 per payroll period ($75 per week). If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A $150.00 refundable security deposit is required, to be deducted from paycheck in equal $50.00 installments from employee's first three (3) paychecks. All deductions from worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
