The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to recipe, portion, and presentation standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Set up and maintain assigned kitchen stations. Follow proper portioning, plating, and presentation standards. Operate grills, fryers, ovens, slicers, and other kitchen equipment safely. Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift. Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures. Complete prep work as assigned. Communicate with other kitchen team members to maintain proper ticket timing. Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products. Assist with banquet and event food preparation when needed. Complete cleaning and closing duties before leaving the shift. Requirements Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred. Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Strong knife skills and ability to use kitchen equipment safely. Ability to follow recipes and plating standards consistently. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food quality. Dependable and able to work well as part of a team. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
