About Us:
Welcome to Melbourne Seafood Station, where we pride ourselves on serving fresh, delicious seafood in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests, and we're looking for passionate individuals to join our kitchen crew.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality seafood dishes according to our recipes and standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook seafood dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and sides, following our recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and consistency. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients. Assist with food prep tasks, such as chopping vegetables, cleaning seafood, and making sauces. Monitor and restock inventory as needed, including notifying the Head Chef of any shortages. Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper sanitation and food handling procedures. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours. Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction. Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role, preferably in a seafood restaurant. Knowledge of seafood preparation and cooking techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Food handler's certification is a plus.
