Summary As a Line Cook/Prep Cook at The Yardery, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that delight our guests. This role is vital to maintaining our reputation for excellence in fine dining. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner following food handling guidelines. Assist with inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Support the head chef in menu development and special events as needed. Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests. Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen. Qualifications Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting. Strong food handling skills with knowledge of safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Passion for food preparation and creativity in dish presentation. Basic knowledge of catering operations is a plus but not required. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork in the kitchen.
