ELS is hiring for the position of Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Resort - Seasonal Cook in Odessa, Florida. ​ What you'll do: As a Cook you will prepare and serve quick-service food items, maintain kitchen safety and sanitation, and deliver fast, friendly customer service in either of our golf courses and/or shooters club kitchens. Job Purpose To prepare short-order food and beverage items efficiently, keep the workspace clean, and provide great service to guests and residents in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation:
Cook and assemble menu items like burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and fried snacks using grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
Safety and Sanitation:
Follow health department regulations, monitor food temperatures, and practice safe food handling.
Inventory and Restocking:
Rotate stock to reduce waste, label food correctly, and restock condiments, ingredients, and supplies.
Customer Service:
Greet guests and residents, take or fulfill orders accurately, and maintain a friendly attitude during busy hours.
Cleanliness:
Clean cooking surfaces, equipment, counters, and general dining or prep areas throughout the shift.
Qualifications and Skills Experience:
Previous food service or quick-service kitchen experience is preferred.
Physical Ability:
Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Certifications:
Food Handler or ServSafe certification may be required by local laws or employers.
Soft Skills:
Good time management, teamwork, and effective communication skills.
Work Schedule:
Availability of working on weekends and/or holidays as required.
