Job Description
Looking for an experienced cook for Assisted Living Residence in the Port Richey area. We are a medium-sized facility and the cook must be able to prepare meals for up to
- 50 residents. Shift is ONLY day time from 6:00am-2:30pm. However there may be extra shifts available to stay later and get more hours.
- Responsible for preparing and serving meals according to dietary rules and regulations.
- Responsible to supervise all dietary aspects of: cleanliness, safe food preparation, safe food handling, cleaning and maintaining equipment, serving resident meals, all diets, dietary rules and regulations.
- Responsible to prepare food for current and future meals according to a set menu with special diet.
- Responsible for cleaning up kitchen and making sure all dishes are washed after each meal.
- Responsible for keeping inventory of food supplies and helping with monthly and weekly food orders. Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 1 years' experience working in a cooking capacity (preferably in a residential assisted living setting).
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work mornings/afternoons, weekends and holidays periodically.
- Must enjoy working with the senior population.
- Preferred to have a cook with a Serve Safe Managers Qualification.
- MUST pass AHCA Level 2 Background Check.
