Dietary Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is under direct supervision of the Dietary Manager. The cook will be responsible for preparation and cooking of meals, assisting with receiving and storing all deliveries, labeling food appropriately, and maintaining kitchen equipment and area in a clean and safe manner.Daily Tasks:
1. Prepare and set up meals based upon menu, recipes and forecasted number of meals to be served. 2. Adhere to all food handling and sanitary policies set forth by regulations. 3. Clean all equipment surfaces and work tables as you go, and at completion of shift. 4. All garbage bags are to be tied securely before being disposed of in the dumpster at the end of your shift. 5. Comply with special diets list posted at all times. 6. Follow proper dishwashing, food handling and hygiene procedures. 7. Make sure meals are prepared on time following the serving schedule. 8. Allow only food service employees in the food service areas, no unauthorized personnel or residents are permitted. 9. Food Storage should be locked at all times and maintained in an orderly fashion. 10. Reports to your Manager all hazardous situations, broken equipment. 11. Assist with other task as assigned by Manager. 12. Attend regular staff meetings. 13. Assist with evacuation of residents in an emergency.Minimum Qualification:
Has Experience in food service, food preparation and serving of food particularly in a hospital or assisted living facility. Good physical condition Able to lift heavy loads and handling of hazardous chemical's/hot equipment. Able to get along well with others particularly elderly. Dependable Dress Code:
Black Pants, White collared shirt/blouse with closed in slip resistant shoes.Job Type:
