Job Overview We're on the lookout for a passionate and dependable Breakfast and Dinner Line Cook to join our family-owned restaurant nestled in The Villages. Responsibilities Prepare and cook breakfast menu items with consistency and attention to detail, following established recipes and standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, poachers, and other appliances. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment. Assist in food production tasks such as braising, grilling, poaching, and meal preparation to support high-volume breakfast service. Follow recipe adherence and portion control guidelines to ensure quality and consistency across all dishes. Support menu planning efforts by providing input on dish preparation and ingredient needs. Keep the work area organized, stocked, and clean throughout your shift to promote smooth kitchen operations. Experience Previous food service or restaurant experience is required; fine dining or high-volume production experience is a plus. Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential. Experience with dietary department standards or dietary aide roles is beneficial. Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, and poaching are important. Background in food handling, catering, or culinary experience that demonstrates versatility in meal preparation. Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
