Immediate openning for cook A Creative World Cook is responsible for providing a clean, orderly and sanitary environment to prepare nutritional meals and snacks for the school in accordance to Creative World policies and procedures and local health and licensing regulations. Greet the children and their parents warmly and with enthusiasm each day. Maintain a clean, safe, orderly and sanitary environment in the food preparation and storage areas. Prepare the menu and deliver food to classrooms in a timely manner. Wash and sterilize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, and any other equipment used. Clean and sanitize refrigerator, freezer, ovens, cabinets, food storage areas and shelving. Post menus and record any menu changes in the kitchen log, the parent bulletin board and in the kitchen. Prepare a grocery list for shopping and/or ordering. Store, label and date foods appropriately before and after cooking. Use appropriate amounts of foods to prepare approved menus. Have an understanding of portions required to meet nutritional guidelines. Prepare foods to accommodate children under the age of two and their food restrictions, as outlined on the "Two Chews". Maintain all required record keeping such as kitchen log, medication forms, etc. Perform general custodial responsibilities for kitchen.
