In this energetic role, you will be instrumental in preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working in a fast-paced, supportive setting. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely and efficient service during busy hours Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety standards Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness Support the culinary team in menu planning and ingredient organization for daily service Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and uphold a smooth workflow Skills Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly valued Strong food preparation skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and knife skills Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Ability to operate various kitchen equipment confidently and safely Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, including catering experience Understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation protocols to maintain a hygienic workspace
Pay:
$12.00 - $18.00 per hour
