. This job is at a
DETENTION CENTER
. We are seeking dedicated and experienced Food Service Cooks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge in bulk cooking and will be responsible for cooking meals for staff and inmates. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage operations effectively. Responsibilities Coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring high standards of quality. Train and mentor inmate workers to foster a positive work environment and enhance team productivity. Oversee food preparation in accordance with health and safety regulations. Ensure compliance with all food service policies, procedures, and regulations within the establishment. Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends. Qualifications Proven experience in food service roles in a commercial setting Strong skills in training and development, with the ability to motivate other team members effectively Familiarity with inventory control practices to optimize stock levels and reduce waste. Excellent communication skills while working with a team. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, nights and weekends as needed.
