Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing using proper knife skills, and assembling ingredients for various dishes Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances through regular cleaning and sanitation practices Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and ensure smooth kitchen operations Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques for new dishes Qualifications Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary settings is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and operating commercial kitchen equipment Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Strong knife skills with expertise in slicing techniques for efficient meal prep Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members in a fast-paced setting Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
