Responsibilities Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and food processors. Assist with menu planning by suggesting nutritious and appealing meal options that meet dietary restrictions. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by following proper sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules. Handle food safely by adhering to food safety management standards, including proper storage, handling, and temperature controls. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service delivery. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Experience Previous experience working in a dietary department or food service environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a professional setting. Knowledge of safety standards in food production and experience operating various kitchen equipment. Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal assembly for diverse dietary needs. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members. Experience in the food industry or restaurant environment that highlights culinary skills such as knife techniques and slicing methods. Catering experience or involvement in large-scale meal preparation projects is a plus.
