This position helps ensure ingredients are properly prepared, stocked, and ready for efficient service. Responsibilities Prepare vegetables, proteins, sauces, and other ingredients according to recipes. Set up and maintain an organized prep station. Measure, portion, label, and store prepared ingredients correctly. Assist kitchen staff with daily prep and service needs. Maintain proper food quality, freshness, and portion standards. Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures throughout the shift. Clean cutting boards, utensils, equipment, and work surfaces. Monitor ingredient levels and communicate restocking needs. Help rotate and store products using proper procedures. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods. Qualifications Previous prep cook or professional kitchen experience preferred. Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment. Ability to follow recipes and detailed instructions. Strong organization and attention to detail. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift kitchen supplies. Reliable availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
