Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, and knives with precision and safety awareness Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability for daily specials Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff through clear communication to coordinate meal preparation and service Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to recipe specifications and safety standards Qualifications Must have at least 5 years of experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating strong kitchen skills Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus Proficiency in food preparation techniques including slicing, chopping, and cooking methods Familiarity with food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards during production Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency across dishes Excellent knife skills with proper slicing techniques for efficiency and safety Experience with meal preparation for various dietary needs and catering events is desirable Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams Demonstrated commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and quality assurance in a fast-paced setting
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 40.0 per week
