at Shoshone County in Wallace, Idaho, United States Job Description The Part-Time Jail Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals for inmates housed at the Shoshone County Jail while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen. Duties include meal preparation, portioning and serving food, following established menus and dietary requirements, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and work areas, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting with inventory and food storage. The position is approximately 24 hours per week and may occasionally require additional hours to cover shifts. Applicants must be able to work in a secure correctional environment and successfully complete a background check for security clearance.
