Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
• Cook and plate menu items accurately and efficiently
• Assist with menu planning and contribute to the creation of new dishes
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and high-quality serviceSkills
• Experience in the food service industry as a cook or line cook
• Proficiency in food handling and advanced preparation, and cooking techniques
• Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knife skills for ingredient preparation with an eye for presentation
• Must have experience in an upscale kitchen environment-Strong skills in working a broiler or saut station in a fast paced upscale steakhouse preferred-Knowledge of advanced cooking techniques and work with higher end ingredients preferred-Full scratch kitchen preparation experience preferred
