Job Overview Experienced Cook 1 needed for a fast-paced commercial kitchen. Must have strong knife and chopping skills, work confidently without relying on recipes, understand food safety and sanitation, and maintain quality and pace under pressure. Must be dependable, coachable, and able to work effectively as part of a high-volume kitchen team. Responsibilities Perform food preparation and service tasks, including cooking, clearing tables, and serving food and drinks when necessary. Train other workers in food preparation and in service, sanitation, and safety procedures. Prepare salads, appetizers, and cold dishes, portion desserts, and brew coffee. Make sandwiches, carve meats, prepare soups or salads, bake breads or desserts, and brew coffee or tea. Requirements Strong knife and chopping skills with the ability to work confidently without relying on recipes. Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to maintain quality and pace under pressure in a high-volume kitchen. Dependable, coachable, and a strong team player.
