Job Description
Cook / Cashier Bordertown Pizzeria is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Cook / Cashier to join our team! This is a cross-trained position, meaning you'll work both in the kitchen and at the front counter. We're looking for someone who is comfortable staying busy, working as part of a team, and providing great service to our customers.
Responsibilities Kitchen:
- Prepare food and ingredients according to restaurant standards
- Make pizzas and other menu items
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Properly stock and rotate ingredients
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed Front Counter /
Cashier:
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Take customer orders accurately both in person and over the phone
- Operate the cash register/POS system
- Handle cash, credit/debit transactions, and make change accurately
- Answer customer questions about menu items and orders
- Package and prepare customer orders for pickup
- Help keep the front counter and dining area clean and organized

- Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but, we are willing to train the right person
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry restaurant supplies and ingredients
- Ability to work in a warm kitchen environment
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a shift A clean and organized workplace is a team responsibility.
