Line Cook (Steam)

Starting Pay:

$13/hour Here's the deal... Some people love a busy kitchen. Some people don't. If you're the kind of person who likes staying busy, working with a good crew, and walking out at the end of the night knowing you earned your paycheck, you'll probably love it here. Our Crown Point restaurant is a high-volume kitchen. We do a lot of business, and the line is where it all comes together. You'll never work alone, and there are always people around you working toward the same goal—putting out great food, quickly and consistently. You'll learn how to prepare: Wings Sandwiches Pasta Salads Appetizers Fried foods You'll also help with prep work, stocking your station, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. We've been serving Northwest Indiana for a long time, and every plate that leaves our kitchen has our name on it. We take that seriously. Restaurant experience is great, but it's not required. Truthfully, I'd rather hire someone with a great attitude and a strong work ethic than someone who thinks they already know everything. Around here, effort gets noticed. We promote from within whenever possible. The people who show up, work hard, learn the job, and take pride in what they do don't stay in the same position for very long.
