Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dietary Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals that meet dietary guidelines and enhance the well-being of our residents or clients. Your expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and food safety will contribute to creating a positive dining experience. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of meals following established recipes, dietary requirements, and menu plans with precision and creativity Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, poaching stations, braising pots, and food production machinery efficiently and safely Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures comply with food safety standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment Assist in menu planning by suggesting nutritious options that cater to specific dietary needs and preferences Maintain high-volume food production standards while adhering to recipe adherence and portion control guidelines Support dietary department operations by managing food prep tasks like food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling, and meal assembly Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences in a fast-paced setting Requirements Previous experience as a dietary aide or cook within healthcare, restaurant, or catering environments is highly preferred Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures Proven culinary experience with skills in grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques Demonstrated ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques such as meal prep, food production, and recipe adherence Experience working in high-volume production settings or fine dining environments is advantageous Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining flexibility for dynamic kitchen demands Join us if you're eager to bring your culinary expertise into a rewarding role where quality food makes a difference every day!
