Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and safety guidelines Operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors efficiently and safely Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards Assist with meal assembly, plating, and portion control to ensure consistency and presentation quality Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and meet service deadlines Follow food handling procedures diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety management Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on recipes and ingredient quality Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a focus on food safety standards Strong knife skills with slicing techniques that promote efficiency and precision Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a high-volume environment Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams Familiarity with culinary techniques, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Previous catering or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential Join us in creating memorable dining experiences through your culinary expertise!
