Job Summary We're looking for a motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen crew. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and standards. Assist in cooking and assembling menu items with attention to quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage practices. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as slicers, mixers, and ovens. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all meals meet health standards and regulations. Support the team during busy periods by helping with food prep and ensuring timely meal production. Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and uphold smooth kitchen operations. Skills Experience in food preparation or dietary departments is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is key. Knowledge of food safety management and handling practices. Strong knife skills, slicing techniques, and familiarity with culinary tools. Ability to follow recipes precisely and adhere to menu standards. Good communication skills for effective teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in restaurant or catering settings is beneficial but not mandatory.
