Exciting opportunity to work under Executive Chef Hosie J. Bourgeois at the exclusive Beau Chêne Country Club .
NOTE:
Full time with 3 Days OFF per week!!
Position Summary:
Responsible for preparing food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards, and following established food production programs and procedures. Responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud.
Essential Functions:
Prepares foods, as per recipes/directions provided by Chef. Determines amount and type of food and supplies required. Ensures availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation. Keeps all work areas, equipment, and food storage areas clean and sanitary. Ensures that all foods are properly wrapped and stored in clean, refrigerated areas. Safely and efficiently operates all kitchen equipment and keeps all knives in clean and sharp condition. All other duties as required.
Physical Requirements:
Continually on feet throughout work shift Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds Requires bending, reaching, and twisting mobility Manual dexterity
Minimum Qualifications:
Must know typical preparations for hot and cold foods, including but not limited to grilling, frying, sautéing, poaching, roasting and garde manger. Basic culinary knife skills are also required. 2 - 3 years prior experience as a cook, or equivalent cooking experience Must have a moderate level of fluency with
