The position is part-time, averaging 25-30 per week including nights and weekends. Candidate will work in two different, dynamic kitchen environments, one utilized for daily service and the other being for larger banquet and events. Experience in both types of environments is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in restaurant settings. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. The position offers an opportunity to develop culinary expertise and work alongside a professional kitchen staff committed to excellence. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing when needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage Ensure all food safety regulations are followed diligently Support food preparation activities such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours Assist in catering events or special functions as required Serve dishes to guests or assist servers during service when necessary Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for replenishment Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or food industry setting Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling safety protocols Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation techniques Background in dietary department or dietary aide work is a plus Familiarity with fine dining standards and catering services is desirable Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen sanitation Previous experience in food service, catering, or serving roles preferred Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, as needed
