Oversees daily kitchen operations, maintains a clean and sanitary environment, and provides direction to kitchen staff as needed. Haitian Creole-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Reviews menus and work orders to determine food types, quantities, and preparation needs. Prepares, seasons, cooks, portions, and presents meals according to established standards and dietary requirements. Coordinates kitchen staff and daily food preparation activities. Maintains adequate food and supply inventory and places orders as needed. Inspects food, supplies, equipment, and work areas for quality, cleanliness, and safety. Completes required food safety, temperature, sanitation, and quality assurance logs. Maintains kitchen and food storage areas in compliance with sanitation and health regulations. Provides training and guidance to kitchen staff as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities May oversee, train, and coordinate assigned kitchen staff and provide direction regarding food preparation, sanitation, safety, and company procedures. High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum six months of related food service or culinary experience. Strong culinary and food preparation skills. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ServSafe and/or Allergen Certification preferred or required by local regulations. Spanish speaking preferred/required based on program needs.
