We have independent living, a 24-bed rest home and a 46-bed skilled nursing community. We take pride in providing our residents with delicious, healthy meals and a varied six-week menu cycle. We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has strong culinary skills, takes pride in preparing high-quality meals, and enjoys working as part of a team. The Cook is responsible for preparing meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, therapeutic diet requirements, and food safety standards. This position also helps maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare and cook high-quality, nutritious meals according to established menus and recipes. Follow therapeutic diet requirements and make appropriate recipe modifications. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, food preparation, and service areas. Work collaboratively with the culinary and dining services team. Assist in maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction. Respond appropriately to feedback from residents and staff. Perform other food service duties as assigned. Qualifications A minimum of 1 year of cooking experience required. Experience in senior living, healthcare, or a similar food service environment preferred. Knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred. ServSafe certification preferred. Strong food safety and sanitation practices. Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
