Job Description
-Duties and Responsibilities Follows cycle menu, food production sheets, standardized recipes and therapeutic diet orders in preparing and serving of specified quantities of food. Operate and maintain all equipment as needed Plans work schedule to meet time lines of meal service Keeps work area clean and orderly Cleans ovens, fryer, grill, steam tables, slicer and can opener after each use. Prepares any early or late meal trays requested for the residents Reports all faulty equipment in need of repair Unlocks and locks kitchen doors and store rooms doors at the beginning and end of each work day Checks in and inspects deliveries in the absence of the Dietary Manager Attends in-service and educations Trains new employees in their prospective position Making sure leftovers are worked in to meals Follows menus and recipes thoroughly making changes only as authorized by Food Service Manager Making sure all food is served at proper temperatures and held at the HAACP required temperatures Wash pots, pans and knives Make sure meats are pulled for each meal May assist in setting up trays and washing dishes as needed. Performs other duties as assigned
