What We Are Looking For:

A true morning person-this role requires early mornings/ reliability and dependability are non-negotiable. A passion for creating nourishing, delicious food and desire to be a part of a well established, community supported bakery and cafe. A willingness to learn and take feedback-always looking for ways to grow and improve Strong ability to follow direction, work independently, and manage time effectively Dedicated work ethic and ability to work efficiently with initiative What you'll do: Prepare high quality, from-scratch savory items including: soups, quiche, deli salads, green salads, frozen meals, and sandwich prep Follow and uphold standardized recipes while staying attentive to cleanliness, consistency and high quality Accurately portion, pack, label, and merchandise large-batch meals with attention to presentation and product quality Execute a daily production list with accuracy and a strong sense of urgency Work collaboratively and respectfully with a tight knit team to keep production flowing Contribute to a positive, professional kitchen culture built on clear communication, respect, and pride in the work Maintain a flexible attitude and be willing to switch gears throughout the day This is not line work, rather large-batch production cooking with a focus on consistency and quality.

Who we are:

Wild Oats Bakery and Café has been a gathering spot in Brunswick since we first opened our doors in 1991. We have always focused on social and environmental responsibility while providing the community with all-natural, from-scratch products. We use natural and locally sourced products in all of our soups, fresh baked goods, bread, frozen entrees, cakes, sandwiches, deli salads and more.

When We Work:

Wild Oats is open 7:30am - 4:00pm, seven days a week. Our savory cooks start at 5:30am and end their shift around 1:30 pm. Both weekend days are required. Benefits include free meals, tips, health insurance, dental, life insurance, matched retirement plans, paid vacation, employee discounts.
