Job Overview Cornerstone is a year round chef driven restaurant in Ogunquit ME focused on chef inspired stone oven cooked pizza. This is not just a pizza joint this is an ideal position for someone looking to learn under an established trained chef how to make authentic artisanal stone oven pizza and many other dishes. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Pantry and Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that delight our guests and uphold our commitment to food safety and excellence. You will also learn how to make items from scratch. Your energy, culinary skills, and attention to detail will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation, kitchen operations, and delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment. Duties Own the daily setup, organization, and execution of the salad and sandwich station Prepare and maintain all station mise en place according to the daily prep list and pars Execute salads and sandwiches consistently and efficiently during service Monitor station inventory, communicate shortages, and help maintain appropriate pars Follow FIFO, labeling, dating, food-safety, and quality standards Taste and evaluate prep for freshness and consistency Set up the station for service and complete proper breakdown, cleaning, and storage at the end of the shift Maintain a clean, organized station throughout service Assist the rest of the kitchen with pizza, prep, and other menu items as needed Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and communicate clearly during prep and service The right person will be organized, dependable, curious, and comfortable taking ownership of their work. Culinary-school experience is welcome, but we're ultimately looking for someone who cares about good food, strong fundamentals, and keeping a station exceptionally well run. Experience This is an ideal position for a student or recent culinary graduate looking to continue their education and learn in a unique cooking environment under an experienced chef. Restaurant or food service experience, especially in fine dining or high-volume settings. Knowledge of food preparation. Servesafe certification or equivalent. Skilled in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining food safety management standards. knife skills a plus. Experience with menu planning or culinary development is a plus, highlighting creativity and consistency in food presentation. Self starting attitude. Pay:
From $24.50 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
