Job Description

Job Summary Cedar Tavern is looking for a dependable, hardworking Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook will prepare and cook menu items to Cedar Tavern's standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced tavern environment, takes pride in quality and consistency, and is a positive team player. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook food according to recipes, portion standards, and ticket specifications. Set up and maintain an organized station before, during, and after service. Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining food quality and presentation. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures. Properly store, label, and rotate food and ingredients. Assist with prep, cleaning, stocking, and closing duties as needed. Communicate effectively with fellow kitchen staff and front-of-house team members. Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout each shift. Qualifications Previous kitchen or line-cook experience preferred, but we're willing to train the right person. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry kitchen supplies.
