Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting with the preparation of high-quality meals while ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are met. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and marinating. Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality of dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe cooking environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to support catering events and special menu planning as needed. Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages. Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food service operations. Experience Previous experience in a food service or culinary role is preferred but not required; we welcome those eager to learn. Familiarity with catering services or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus. Basic understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to develop menu planning skills within a restaurant setting.
