We are looking for a dependable, caring, and talented Cook to join our senior living community at Riverside Commons! In this role, you'll do much more than prepare great food—you'll help create an enjoyable dining experience that residents look forward to each day. Our ideal candidate takes pride in their work, understands the importance of quality and consistency, and enjoys being part of a team that truly makes a difference. What You'll Do Prepare and serve attractive, flavorful meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes Follow resident-specific diets, food textures, allergies, and nutritional requirements Ensure meals are prepared and served at the proper temperature and on schedule Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen Follow food safety, infection-control, and proper food-storage procedures Assist with inventory, food rotation, and minimizing waste Communicate effectively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and community leadership Help create a welcoming dining experience for our residents Step in wherever needed to support the dietary team What We're Looking For Previous cooking experience preferred; senior living, healthcare, restaurant, or institutional cooking experience is a plus Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special-diet instructions Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced kitchen A positive attitude and genuine respect for older adults ServSafe certification is a plus, but not required Why You'll Love Working Here Meaningful work that makes a difference every day Supportive and team-oriented environment Consistent schedule Competitive pay Opportunities to learn and grow Employee benefits for eligible team members The chance to build relationships with residents who appreciate what you do If you enjoy cooking, take pride in serving others, and want your work to have a real purpose, we would love to meet you.
