Position Summary The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, home-style meals for our assisted living residents while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. Working as part of our dietary team, you'll help ensure every meal is served with quality, care, and hospitality. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals from scratch according to planned menus and standardized recipes Prepare food in batch quantities while maintaining quality and consistency Ensure meals are served safely, attractively, and on schedule Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining area Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures Work cooperatively with other team members to provide an exceptional dining experience Assist with kitchen cleaning and other dietary duties as needed Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to pass a criminal background check Previous cooking experience preferred, especially in restaurant, institutional, or batch cooking Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to serve the elderly Benefits All employees are eligible for: Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) with company contributions after 90 days of employment Why Join Green Acres of Lowell?
