Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will assist in preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your energy and culinary skills will help ensure smooth kitchen operations, uphold food safety standards, and deliver exceptional meal quality to our guests. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications, including chopping, slicing, and portioning foods using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Assist in cooking and food preparation tasks to support the culinary team in delivering high-quality meals Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, fryers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment by following strict cleaning protocols to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met Support menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming meals or catering events Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Follow food handling procedures diligently to prevent cross-contamination and uphold food safety management standards Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly preferred Food industry or restaurant experience demonstrating knowledge of food preparation and safety standards Strong understanding of food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen sanitation practices Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff Knowledge of recipe adherence and meal preparation techniques Experience with catering or large-scale food service is a plus Basic culinary skills including knife proficiency, slicing techniques, and cooking methods Familiarity with food safety management systems and safety standards in production environments Join us if you're passionate about creating delicious meals in a fast-paced environment!
