Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! Whether working in a restaurant, catering setting, or healthcare facility, you will play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences through skillful cooking and efficient kitchen operations. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools. Follow food safety standards diligently, including proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and cleaning procedures. Assist with menu planning by suggesting new recipes or modifications based on dietary needs and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by regularly cleaning work surfaces, utensils, appliances, and floors. Collaborate with dietary aides and kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service. Adhere strictly to recipe instructions and portion control to ensure meal consistency and minimize waste. Skills Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting. Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and hygiene standards. Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients. Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Experience with menu planning and catering operations is highly desirable. Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and other departments. Demonstrated ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
