Job Description

Overview We're seeking a new member of our culinary team who has availabity on the weekends. Perfect opportunity for a part-time job, etc. Award winning gastropub/bar. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and food prep tools Follow food safety guidelines diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing routines Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to safety and quality standards Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen team members Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
