The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in pizza preparation and cooking techniques. This role requires a commitment to food safety and quality, ensuring that each pizza is crafted to perfection. The Pizza Cook will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, contributing to menu planning and maintaining high standards of kitchen operations. Duties Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences. Ensure all food handling and safety guidelines are strictly followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Utilize kitchen equipment, including ovens, mixers, and knives, with proficiency and care. Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menu items and special promotions effectively. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting in ordering as necessary. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment. Assist in training new staff members on pizza preparation techniques and kitchen protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient knife skills for efficient food preparation. Experience working in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred. Familiarity with food handling procedures within a dietary department is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities. Creative thinking for menu planning and developing new pizza recipes. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
